| show-medals = yes | updated = }} Zuzanna Mazurek (born May 15, 1991 in Świdnik) is a Polish swimmer, who specialized in backstroke events. She is a multiple-time former Polish record holder in both 100 and 200 m backstroke. Mazurek is also a member of UKP Fala Kraśnik, and is coached and trained by Slawomir Pliszka. Mazurek made her international debut at the 2007 European Junior Swimming Championships, where she edged out her teammate Iwona Lefanowicz to claim the bronze in the 200 m backstroke by 0.29 of a second, finishing with a time of 2:16.36. By the following year, she won a gold medal in the same discipline at the 2008 FINA Youth World Swimming Championships in Monterrey, Mexico, breaking a games record of 2:12.56. Mazurek qualified for two swimming events at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, by breaking a Polish record and clearing a FINA A-standard entry time of 2:12.65 (200 m backstroke) from the national championships in Ostrowiec. She won the second heat of the 100 m backstroke by 0.15 of a second ahead of Guatemala's Gisela Morales, with a Polish record time of 1:02.77, but finished farther from the semifinal field in thirty-sixth place. In the 200 m backstroke, Mazurek finished behind Ireland's Melanie Nocher in second place on the same heat by 0.17 of a second, lowering her record to 2:12.46.
